Colleen Moore

I’m Colleen Moore, a Nurse Practitioner with more than a decade of nursing experience. I am originally from Buffalo, NY (Go Bills!), but my family and our small pack of Chihuahuas have called Spokane our home since 2019. From a young age, I knew that I wanted to help people. As I began my career in healthcare and gained more experience in nursing, I continued my education and earned a doctoral degree. During my years of practice, I found my calling in mental health.

One of my first nursing experiences was working at a psychiatric hospital serving adolescents with a dual diagnosis of substance abuse and mental illness. That position connected me to my dream of having an impactful career. I knew nursing was a good fit for me.

Throughout my nursing career, I have continuously found the most joy in working with clients who struggle to find their voices heard. My experiences include oncology, end-of-life care, juvenile corrections, addiction medicine, inpatient acute psychiatry, and public health. All of which have gifted me insight to better serve people from all walks of life.

My practice focuses on medication management and psychoeducation. At NWN, I am able to incorporate various treatment modalities to support the best possible treatment results. For patients with treatment-resistant depression, I have expertise in interventional psychiatric approaches such as esketamine nasal treatment and TMS Therapy.

So often, clients report feeling dismissed and discouraged, and that it is often hard to see themselves beyond their circumstances. My goal is for the interactions that clients have with me to be positive and educational. I believe in building a therapeutic alliance to work towards a common goal of mental wellness. I look forward to the opportunity to support your treatment journey.
